Description
Tactile to the touch and with excellent ergonomics this is a lovely little cup for a strong flat white! Hand thrown at the potters wheel with Nicholas Dover's incredible skill. A small but mighty beaker. It features a flared style for slightly more volume than the Japanese style Yunomi cups and with a nod to traditional British craftsmanship, its nice to be able to get a sense of the stoneware beneath the glaze.
Nicholas hand makes all of his glazes and tests them to perfection point - this satin glaze is both minimal and practical.
Nicholas' maker's mark - his signature if you will - is visible on the underside of all of his pieces. His work is inspired by Scandinavian and Japanese pottery styles, using minimalism and natural forms, with deep earthy tones. This cup and all of Dovers' pieces are executed with beautiful precision and will enhance any morning cuppa.
