Description
The Fernweh UK “FINNOCH” waxed canvas field bag is made from high quality waxed canvas, lined with durable striped ticking cloth fabric with oak bark tanned leather crossbody strap. Features a riveted double slip pocket on the back for handy storage, and an internal double slip pocket. Finished with a slim, adjustable oak bark tanned leather crossbody strap and solid brass hardware. All handcrafted by maker Laura in her studio in Aberdeen.

How is this product sustainable and responsibly made?
All bags are handmade by Laura in her studio, allowing her to minimise waste, and reuse all scraps wherever possible, and each supplier is responsibly sourced, sharing the same ethos as my own work.
The waxed canvas is sourced from two UK factories who have been making waxed canvas since the late 1800s, one in Scotland and one in England. The oak bark tanned leather is sourced from the UK’s only remaining oak bark tannery, in Devon and takes over a year to slowly tan each hide in a zero waste process.
