Every year tens of millions of inner tubes head to landfill in the UK as there is only so many times they can be repaired. In 2011 I started to explore how I could find other uses for my inner tubes that were over-flowing a box under the stairs.
Each inner tube is washed thoroughly before being cut in to shape.
The measurement is the length of the longest part, not including the earring fixing.
Every earring is handmade in our Bristol workshop. Each item comes in a recycled gift box and the story of how the inner tube finally 'popped'.
