Introducing the JUNO top, a creation by Bristol maker Emily from Mahika Kala. The floral pattern, reminiscent of the 70s era, adds a touch of nostalgia and timeless elegance to your wardrobe.
The JUNO top is crafted with utmost care and attention to detail. It is made from lightweight cotton that has been hand-printed using the ancient dabu mud resist technique, resulting in a truly remarkable design. This unique piece is a testament to the beauty of traditional craftsmanship and sustainable practices.
What sets this top apart is its 100% natural plant dyeing process. Mahika Kala uses madder, a natural dye, to achieve a rich and vibrant colour that is both environmentally friendly and gentle on your skin. The natural dyeing process adds an extra layer of uniqueness and authenticity to each piece.
The JUNO top features a flattering square neckline that beautifully frames the collarbones. Its elasticated cropped waistband and puffy elasticated 3/4 sleeves add a touch of whimsy and playfulness. Pair it with the matching Cleo trousers or Wren shorts in the same pattern for a coordinated look, or style it with wide-legged jeans and a penny lane coat for a bohemian-inspired, Almost Famous vibe :)

Material and Care
100% natural plant dyed cotton fabric so there will be variations. Sometimes the ink process causes colour irregularities or print marks from the blocks.
It's important to note that natural dyes, while beautiful and environmentally friendly, can be susceptible to certain products we use in our daily lives. To ensure the longevity and vibrancy of your naturally dyed garment, it's essential to handle it with care and take some precautions.
Acids and alkalis have the potential to alter the colour of the garment, so it's important to be mindful when wearing your item. For instance, deodorants and skin products containing acidic ingredients can interact with the natural dyes, leading to colour changes or fading. Similarly, acidic foods like tomatoes or lemons, if accidentally spilled or rubbed against the fabric, may have a similar effect.
Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight as the natural dye will fade.
Hand wash only in warm water with eco detergent. Dry naturally, preferably in the shade to prevent colour loss.
*With every item purchased Mahika Kala plants 3 trees in collaboration with TreeSisters.
