UK

Our delivery charges to (UK mainland) includes the services of Royal Mail, UPS and the cost of the packaging we use.

Post is collected Monday - Friday 

Tracked 24  - This service is usually 1-3 day. 

Tracked 48 - This service is usually 2-4 days.

Special Delivery  - We use UPS or Parcelforce. This service is usually a Next Day service.

PRICES

£3.99 - Royal Mail Tracked 48 shipping for orders under £60
£5.99 - Royal Mail Tracked 24 shipping for orders under £60
£11 - UPS or Parcelforce Special Delivery (UK mainland)*

*only if ordered before 12pm Monday - Friday, there are no deliveries on the weekend or bank holidays.

Please note: Once it is in the hands of Royal Mail we cannot be responsible for any delays.  If the item hasn't arrived in 4 weeks, we will issue you a refund. 

We are a 'Not for Profit' shop.

As a business we only take enough commission from the sales to pay for the running costs of the shop. The small amount of leftover profit is either donated to charity, used to provide workshop provision or used for community creative arts projects. We do not have any profit margins to cover shipping costs. 
 


Packaging: If your order is fragile, we might have used bubble wrap or air filled plastic packaging. Please note; this is REUSED packaging that we've received from deliveries or donations.  The rest of the packaging we use is recycled cardstock and paper tape; biodegradable shredded timber and foam chips, and sugar cane mailing bags. We do not buy plastic packaging.

You can collect during our opening times.  Please wait for the email to confirm it's ready for you and bring your order number.

International (under 2kg)

 

Yes, we do ship internationally! All orders are shipped via a Royal Mail Tracked service. 

We have been given this advice from Royal Mail so please note: Each country has their own duties and taxes, so you are responsible for any incurred fees when you receive your order. 

  • Orders between 10€ and 150€ customers are likely to be charged Import Tax and a handling fee.
  • Orders over 150€ customers are likely to be charged Import Tax, handling fee AND a Customs Charge 
  • We cannot classify your order as a GIFT to be exempt from custom charges. 'Gifts' must be sent personally and not through a trading business. If we classify your order as a gift on the customs paperwork, we will get charged and penalised for breaking the law. 

For international delivery our standard charges are based on Royal Mail's prices for different world zones. More information can be found here.

We are only able to post parcels under 2kg.

Our prices are based on average weight and parcel dimensions. It also contributes to the cost of the packaging used. 

Each order is made by hand so please expect your International orders to arrive 1-4 weeks from ordering. 

Shipping during UK Lockdown/Covid-19/Brexit

We are fortunate to have a post box and parcel drop of box very close to the shop so we are posting regularly. However, Royal Mail are being a little slower than normal and some UK parcels have taken up to 7 working days to arrive/ International 3 weeks. 

Why do we charge for postage?

Our shipping fee covers the price to post your item with Royal Mail/UPS and contributes to the packaging materials we use to make sure your order gets to you safely. The price to send our smallest vessel within the UK including packaging is £4 and the largest lamp £15 so we do absorb a lot of the costs ourselves.
