Colour clash: An art exhibition by Flo Lee and Jasmine Rosten- Edwards | Saturday 18th November – Friday 24th November

Saturday 18th November – Friday 24th November

Both Flo’s and Jasmine’s lifelong passion for art is celebrated in their joint exhibition comprised of original paintings full of high-octane colours, intriguing compositions in their fun and unpretentious style.
The exhibition will feature portraits and abstract paintings that are intended to spark joy.

Bio: Flo Lee
Flo’s work is mostly inspired by people and their stories, often but not always depicting children and childhood memories. Conveying character and honesty through her style of painting, but also vulnerability through allowing initial drawing marks to remain present in the finished works.
She enjoys manipulating materials, mainly working with charcoal and acrylic paint and experiments with unusual compositions to see how far she can push our idea of what makes a “complete” painting to both our eye and mind.

Bio: Jasmine Rosten-Edwards
Creative freedom is at the heart of Jasmine’s art practice leading her to produce paintings that spark joy and intrigue. Behind each painting is a strong narrative, sometimes implicit as denoted in the title, or left to the viewer to make their interpretation.
Jasmine’s artwork is constantly evolving, some of it is inspired by Cubism, daydreams, and personal interactions with others. Her love of abstract art is embodied by paintings comprised of richly hued colours and exuberant energy. The result are paintings comprised of upbeat themes and humour; they are statement pieces intended to last the test of time.
