Dave Draws is a Manchester-based illustrator and mural artist, originally from Chesterfield, best known for his distinctive black-and-white “doodle maps”. Working from his studio in Ancoats, Dave combines intricate line work, playful storytelling and abstract patterns to reimagine cityscapes across the UK and beyond. His detailed map prints capture the landmarks, quirks and hidden corners of each place, inviting viewers to rediscover familiar towns through a fresh, creative lens.

Alongside his studio work, Dave has painted large-scale murals throughout the UK, Europe and the US, transforming public walls into joyful, conversation-starting artworks that celebrate local identity and creativity.

Sustainability

Dave runs a small, one-person studio where each piece is created and packed by hand. He paints using sustainable materials onto recycled eco paper, and his prints are shipped in recyclable packaging, keeping his environmental footprint low. His art brings sustainability and simplicity together - showing how creative business can thrive without excess or waste.
