Made By: Tamay & Me View full details

Made from traditionally hand-spun and hand-woven cotton which has been soaked in 12 dips of an indigo bath, this jacket sports an exceptional deep blue appearance. This lengthy process highlights the detailed embroidery that has been carefully hand-stitched, making each jacket truly one-of-a-kind.

Description

Celebrating traditional methods of garment-making, these jackets have been carefully crafted in Northern Vietnam by a team of deeply talented craftspeople, preserving traditional making skills. The jacket consists of striking hand stitched silk  embroidery on the sleeve cuffs and front button placket, fastened with a loop and button detail.

Care

There will be some colour rub when new so avoid contact with light colour fabrics and upholstery.

Natural dye on natural fabric can sometimes have an uneven colour. This is due to the natural elements of all the ingredients, the natural oils, and unbleached surfaces. We choose to stock only naturally dyed fabric because it’s better for people and the planet, and we quite like the unique variations that occur in each garment.

To keep your item looking its best, please make sure you do the following (just to be on the safe side):

    • Hand-wash with cold/lukewarm water and ecological soap, as it’s kinder to the fabric.
    • Wash colours separately.
    • Do not tumble dry.
    • Do not leave in the sun to dry, as the sun will bleach the fabric and highlight ‘uneven’ patches.
    • Creases in natural fabrics fall out if the garment is hung.
    • If ironing, please place a sheet between the garment and the iron.
