A striking green hot air balloon print, crafted using traditional lino print techniques.
Description
All of Bethan's lino prints are meticulously burnished by hand. Each design begins as a pencil sketch, drawn directly from observation, and is then transferred onto lino made from compressed waste wood and linseed oil. Using a variety of Swiss carving tools, Bethan hand-carves the image with precision. She employs techniques such as mono printing (using a single colour), jigsaw methods, or the reduction process to achieve a variety of finishes in soft, muted tones.
