Hand-thrown in Bristol by Nicholas Dover, these delightful little 'yunomi' style cups feature an inlaid black line, inspired by a 'seismograph', a machine used to measure the movement of the ground during an earthquake.
Description
Nicholas' maker's mark - his signature if you will - is painted in underglaze on the underside of these little cups. Featuring a transparent glaze on the inside, and left entirely raw on the outside, they're buffed to a velvet matte texture, and feel buttery smooth to the touch. They sport a turned foot-ring, which raises the profile of the cup just a little from the table, and creates an elegant form.
