Colour Designs Jewellery was set up by Clare Lloyd who makes a range of colourful and contemporary jewellery using recycled sterling silver and polymer and resin clays from her studio in Frome, Somerset.
Her favourite material to work with is square profile eco sterling silver wire as it allows her to make clean, minimalist shapes. Clare tries to keep the settings and shapes of her jewellery simple so that the colours that she makes become the focal point. Clare has a thing for circles – she loves them and they pop up all over her jewellery. All of the colours are mixed using basic primary colours with black and white and Claire loves putting different colour combinations together to see what works. Clare gets colour inspiration everywhere but mostly in the natural world with the golden olive colours of lichen being some of her favourites.
