Sophie Delarny Sophie Delarny

Sophie Delarny is a Bristol based potter, she specialises in handmade functional tableware and home décor including mugs, dinner sets, plant pots and oil burners.

Every piece is individually hand thrown on a pottery wheel and finished with a range of deep, rich glazes that Sophie creates in her studio. Sophie considers all aspects when creating and planning her designs, fuctionality, style, colour scheme, aesthetics. She aims to invoke an all-round sensory experience when her items are used, bringing beauty and joy into the everyday.

‘My pottery journey began when my Mum gave me her old pottery wheel and I simply feel in love! Ever since then I am constantly experimenting with new ideas and thinking about where I can go next with my designs.’

Based at the Meriton Foundry near temple meads in Bristol city, she shares a studio space with her mother Lisa Delarny who is a figurative sculptor. This is also where they offer pottery courses, workshops and wheel throwing lessons.
