Collection: JG Pottery
Jim makes functional ceramic pieces, paying particular attention not just to line, shape and colour but also the details of how they might be handled and used. All of Jim’s work is thrown and turned before being glazed and fired to a stoneware temperature. Jim tends to make one-off items in small batches, resulting in a beautiful variations within his work.
Sustainability
Jim purchases clay locally in Somerset, reusing and reclaiming it to make it last longer. He uses a bicycle as his sole form of transport and his ceramics go with him on it too, either in large panniers or on a trailer. Jim uses cardboard paper and packaging for shipping and will reuse older packaging if it's to hand.
