Wendy Calder

Wendy is a local ceramicist living in Bristol. After graduating from Bath Spa University in ‘93 she backpacked round the World before starting as ceramics technician at the City of Bath College. 
Settling in Bristol, Wendy got back on the wheel, making her own work and running pottery classes & private lessons from her home studio. She loves teaching and being able to share her love and knowledge of ceramics. 
Wendy uses red & white earthenware clays to create functional ceramics. They give a lovely natural background to the drawn surface decoration, produced by monoprint and sgraffito techniques.
