Introducing the stunning playful and versatile Lyra Jumpsuit, a must-have piece by Bristol maker Emily from Mahika Kala.
The Lyra Jumpsuit or romper, is made from 100% linen, a natural and breathable fabric that adds comfort to your wardrobe. It is naturally dyed with catechu, resulting in a deep, earthy brown hue that exudes an organic and timeless charm. The use of catechu, a plant-based dye, ensures an eco-friendly and sustainable approach to fashion.
What makes this jumpsuit truly exceptional is the hand-printed design created using the ancient dabu mud resist technique. Each piece is meticulously crafted, combining traditional methods with contemporary style.
This sleeveless jumpsuit features gathering at the front and back, creating a flattering silhouette while allowing freedom of movement. Its ultra-wide leg design exudes a sense of effortless elegance, while the deep pockets add both functionality and a touch of whimsy :)
Originally designed for those relaxed summer months, the Lyra Jumpsuit is equally delightful for winter styling. Simply layer it with thick woolly tights and a jumper underneath, and you're ready to embrace the colder seasons in style.
Embrace the comfort and playfulness that the Lyra Jumpsuit brings to your wardrobe, and make a statement that reflects your unique personality while supporting local artisans.

Material and Care
100% natural plant dyed linen fabric so there will be variations. Sometimes the ink process causes colour irregularities or print marks from the blocks.
It's important to note that natural dyes, while beautiful and environmentally friendly, can be susceptible to certain products we use in our daily lives. To ensure the longevity and vibrancy of your naturally dyed garment, it's essential to handle it with care and take some precautions.
Acids and alkalis have the potential to alter the colour of the garment, so it's important to be mindful when wearing your item. For instance, deodorants and skin products containing acidic ingredients can interact with the natural dyes, leading to colour changes or fading. Similarly, acidic foods like tomatoes or lemons, if accidentally spilled or rubbed against the fabric, may have a similar effect.
Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight as the natural dye will fade.
Hand wash only in warm water with eco detergent. Dry naturally, preferably in the shade to prevent colour loss.
