Gorgeous little Japanese style Yunomi cup made from plain buff stoneware and finished with Nicholas' signature rusty white glaze. A perfect small vessel for a quiet brew straight from the pot or a feisty dram of coffee.
Description
A lot of Nicholas' work takes inspiration from traditional Japanese tea ceremony and this cup is no different. Quietly spoken, gentle and polite it is the perfect little cup to set your day up in the right way or settle you down to relax awhile. Nestle it into your hand or set it down on its exquisitely executed ring foot, either way you cant help but love it!
Nicholas hand makes all of his glazes and this one is a particular favourite - milky white gives way to autumnal rusts and reds, beautiful!
Nicholas' maker's mark - his signature if you will - is visible on the underside of all of his pieces. His work is inspired by Scandinavian and Japanese pottery styles, using minimalism and natural forms, with deep earthy tones. This cup and all of Dovers' pieces are executed with beautiful precision and will enhance any morning cuppa.
