Hand-thrown in Bristol by Nicholas Dover, these fantastic 'chattered' porcelain vases are one-of-a-kind. Featuring a pattern on the exterior created by the dragging motion of a tool as the piece spins, they are a lovely exercise in joyful making.
Description
Nicholas' maker's mark - his signature if you will - is written in underglaze on the underside of these vases. Fantastically light in the hand, they are a celebration of simple forms, elevated by intentional design. Left raw on the outside, they are glazed with a transparent glaze on the inside, and therefore are fully safe to use as a flower vase, whilst not distracting from the simple beauty of the naked clay.
