Materials
These soap dishes come in different colors and are crafted from leftover sawdust from the Priormade studio which gives each vase a grainy and unique depth of colour. This is mixed with plant-based resin and pigment, which gives each soap dish such a deep shine.
Plant-based resin is a high plant and vegetable biomass plastic. It is a cleaner alternative to plastic. It is UV stable so will not fade in sunlight and is incredibly durable. The soap dishes are 100% waterproof and highly resistant to damage. We are pleased to have created a product that not only will last a long time (isn't prone to breaking and ending up in landfill) but also re-purposes sawdust waste.
Dimensions
Each vase is handmade by mixing the 3 components together and pouring the mixture into the moulds. The interesting stages of the materials can be seen in the final soap dishes For example, colours can vary slightly between batches (depending on original wood colour that the saw dust is from) and there may be tiny air bubbles or darker areas where the saw dust has pooled.
Care
These soap dishes need very little care. They are robust, durable and 100% waterproof. If dropped from a height onto a very hard surface, they may chip.
