An organic and beautiful celebration of nature, this handmade original linocut is printed on Nepalese 'Lokta' paper.
Description
This incredible two-colour linocut illustration was originally commissioned for a magazine - The University of Dayton Magazine. The subject was about Marionist nuns who live sustainably and who rewild their patch of Ohio prairie. The print is based further on a quote from Pope Francis “everything is connected”.
This bright and uplifting print includes plants, insects and birds that are native species to the Ohio grasslands, including Dickcissel, Western Meadowlark, Orange-Belted Bumblebee, American Copper Butterfly, Ohio Buckeye, Sugar Maple, Marsh Marigold, Virginia Bluebell and Coneflower.
