A unique Ecosilver Talisman Necklace featuring the symbolic scarab beetle.
Description
The scarab beetle has been inspiring jewellery trends as far back as 2000 BC. Favoured by the Ancient Egyptians, this beetle was associated with the divine manifestation of the early morning sun, Khepri, whose name was written with the scarab hieroglyph and who was believed to roll the disk of the morning sun over the eastern horizon at daybreak, much like the humble beetle rolling dung into balls. Scarab amulets were used for their magical rejuvenating properties by both the living and the dead, and as a form of protection for it wearer.
‘Lima’ translates to ‘file, polish, revision’ in Latin, and it's repetition perfectly encapsulates the intricate process that sits at the heart of everything Rhiannon does at Lima Lima HQ. Inspired by everything from mystical symbolism to architecture, sculpture to art, her work aims to transcend throwaway trends in favour of timeless, interesting designs that can be worn time and time again.
